Black Friday vs Green Friday

Black Friday vs Green Friday

Next Friday is Black Friday, or as we prefer to call it: Green Friday . We don't support this American shopping stunt. Here's why you're better off choosing a sustainable option this Friday.

Black Friday is literally a black day for the planet. So much is consumed on impulse. Many of these purchases quickly end up in the trash or are returned. Transporting all these returns is also very harmful to the environment. But what can you do about it?

Point 1. Stop fast fashion , fast shopping , and anything you buy based on trends. Tip of the day: create Pinterest boards. One for your ultimate clothing style and one for your interior design needs. It helps me immensely! If I want to buy something, I first check if it fits. That way, I no longer buy things and, after a week, wonder: why did I buy this?

It's also a good idea to critically examine the brand you're considering buying from. Are the products made locally? What materials, and therefore quality, are they made of? Personally, I much prefer buying from a small business owner who's passionate about their craft. Then I know a lot of love and care has gone into the product!

We also want to ensure your footprint remains as small as possible. That's why you can now plant a tree with every product purchase, we reuse packaging materials, and we only stock high-quality products. Many of our products are made in the Netherlands, made from recycled materials, and we offer various refills so your product will last for years! This way, you too can contribute to a greener world.
